Activity Tracking

PT Tracker isn’t just for the gym. Log all your physical activity — from morning walks to weighted rucks — and get fuelling advice tailored to each session.

Supported activities

You can log a wide range of activities:

  • Walking — Casual walks, brisk walks, or dog walks. Enter distance, duration, or both.
  • Rucking — Weighted walks with ruck weight tracked. Great for building base fitness and burning calories without joint impact.
  • Running — Road runs, trail runs, intervals, or easy jogs.
  • Cycling — Indoor or outdoor, with distance and duration.
  • Swimming — Laps, open water, or pool sessions.
  • General cardio — Rowing, elliptical, stair climber, or anything else that gets your heart rate up.

For each activity, you can log:

  • Duration
  • Distance (where applicable)
  • Average heart rate (manual entry or synced from a connected device)
  • Calories burned (estimated or from your fitness tracker)

Fuelling guides

Each activity type comes with a fuelling guide that tells you what to eat before, during, and after based on the session’s intensity and duration:

  • Before — What to eat and when. A 30-minute walk needs nothing special; a 90-minute ruck benefits from carbs 1–2 hours beforehand.
  • During — Hydration reminders and, for longer sessions, guidance on mid-activity fuel (gels, snacks, electrolytes).
  • After — Recovery nutrition. Protein and carb recommendations scaled to the effort.

Fuelling guides factor in your current nutrition targets and whether you’re in a fasting window, so the advice is always relevant to your situation.

Calorie adjustments

Logged activities can optionally adjust your daily calorie target. If you complete a long ruck that burns 500 calories, PT Tracker can add those calories back to your daily budget — or not, depending on your preference. Configure this in Settings > Nutrition > Activity Calories.

  • Pair activity tracking with workout rescheduling to make sure your cardio and lifting sessions don’t clash.
  • The AI Coach can suggest appropriate activity types based on your recovery status and training schedule.
  • Add an activity summary widget to your dashboard to see weekly totals at a glance.
