AI Coach

PT Tracker includes a context-aware AI Coach that understands your current workout, training history, and goals. Think of it as having a knowledgeable training partner available at all times.

Asking questions during workouts

Tap the AI Coach icon during any workout to open a chat. The coach already knows:

  • Which exercise you’re currently on
  • What weights and reps you’ve been hitting
  • Your programme structure and training history
  • Your available equipment

This means you can ask natural questions like “Is this weight too heavy for me?” or “What should I do if the squat rack is taken?” and get answers that actually apply to your situation.

Exercise alternatives

When you need to swap an exercise — whether the equipment is busy, something doesn’t feel right, or you simply want variety — ask the AI Coach for alternatives. It suggests exercises that:

  • Target the same primary muscles
  • Match your available equipment
  • Fit the same rep and set scheme

You can accept a suggestion with one tap, and the exercise swaps into your workout immediately. Choose whether the swap applies to this session only or all future sessions in your programme.

Form cues

Each exercise has an info icon you can tap to see form cues. These are concise, practical reminders — not lengthy tutorials. For example:

  • Bench press — “Retract shoulder blades. Feet flat. Bar path over mid-chest.”
  • Romanian deadlift — “Soft knee bend. Hinge at hips. Bar stays close to legs.”

Form cues appear only when you tap the icon. They never pop up uninvited during your workout — the last thing you need mid-set is a notification blocking your view.

The AI Coach can also provide more detailed form advice through the chat if you ask specific questions like “My elbows flare on bench press — what should I fix?”

Auto-swap exercises

Beyond manual requests, the AI Coach can proactively suggest swaps when it detects a pattern. For instance, if you’ve been consistently underperforming on a particular exercise compared to similar movements, it might suggest an alternative that better suits your body mechanics.

These suggestions appear as gentle prompts — never forced changes.

Tips

  • The more workouts you log, the better the AI Coach understands your strengths and weaknesses.
  • Combine AI suggestions with progressive overload tracking to make sure swapped exercises still progress over time.
  • The AI Coach also works for nutrition — ask “What should I eat for dinner?” and it’ll factor in your remaining macros.
