CrossFit & Functional Fitness

PT Tracker includes a full suite of timers and tracking modes designed for CrossFit, functional fitness, and high-intensity interval training. Whether you’re following a box’s daily WOD or programming your own sessions, everything you need is built right in.

What’s included

Functional fitness workouts come in many formats. PT Tracker supports all the major ones:

  • AMRAP — As Many Rounds As Possible. Set a time cap and cycle through exercises, scoring by total rounds and reps completed.
  • EMOM — Every Minute On the Minute. Perform a set amount of work at the start of each minute, resting with whatever time remains.
  • Tabata — The classic 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off protocol repeated for 8 rounds per exercise.
  • For Time — Race the clock to finish a prescribed workout as fast as possible. Includes support for named benchmark WODs.
  • Circuits & Rounds — Group three or more exercises together and repeat for a set number of rounds, with optional rest between rounds.

Why functional fitness in PT Tracker?

Most workout apps treat CrossFit as an afterthought — a stopwatch bolted onto a bodybuilding tracker. PT Tracker was built differently. Each timer mode has its own dedicated interface, scoring system, and history tracking. Your AMRAP scores, EMOM pacing data, and For Time results all feed into your progress charts and AI Coach recommendations.

Getting started

If you’re new to functional fitness, start with Tabata — it’s the most structured and easiest to follow. Once you’re comfortable with interval work, try an AMRAP or EMOM. Experienced athletes can jump straight into For Time benchmark WODs to test and track their fitness over time.

All timer modes are available on the free tier. Select New Workout → Functional / CrossFit to get started, then choose your timer type and add exercises.
