Rescheduling Workouts

Training plans work best when you follow them consistently, but real life doesn’t always cooperate. PT Tracker lets you reschedule workouts so your programme adapts to your actual week rather than breaking when you miss a day.

How rescheduling works

When you can’t train on a scheduled day, open the workout and tap Reschedule. You’ll see a date picker where you can choose the new date for that session.

Before/after preview

Before confirming, PT Tracker shows you a side-by-side preview of:

  • The original date — What was planned and what will replace it.
  • The new date — What was previously scheduled there and what’s moving in.

This preview covers both dates so you can see the full impact of the change before committing. No surprises.

Choosing a replacement day type

When you move a workout, the day you’re vacating needs a new assignment. You can choose:

  • Rest day — Mark the original date as a rest day.
  • Swap — Move whatever was on the target date back to the original date, effectively swapping the two days.
  • Push to Sunday — Shift everything forward so the missed session lands at the end of the week. Useful when you want to keep the order of your training days intact but just need an extra day before starting.

Push to Sunday

This option is particularly handy for programmes with a fixed sequence (e.g., Push / Pull / Legs). Instead of rearranging individual days, the entire remaining schedule slides forward and the bumped session slots in on Sunday.

What happens to your data

Rescheduling only affects future and unstarted workouts. Any workout you’ve already completed stays exactly where it is in your history. Your progressive overload suggestions carry forward regardless of which day you end up training.

Tips

  • Don’t skip sessions silently — rescheduling keeps your programme accurate and ensures the AI Coach has the right context for recommendations.
  • If you find yourself rescheduling the same day every week, consider adjusting your programme schedule in settings to match your real availability.
